Mr. Daniel J. Head was hired as Prince Avenue Christian Middle School’s principal in July, 2015.
Mr. Head has excellent leadership, administrative, and teaching experience in middle and high school Christian education, and he is committed to helping students develop Christ-like character to glorify God in all things.
While serving as the assistant principal for both the middle and high schools at Trinity Christian School in Lubbock, Texas, Mr. Head collaborated with colleagues to align the junior and senior school high curricula, observed and evaluated teachers, managed all student discipline, and organized chapel services, school retreats, and assisted with fund raising activities for missions work. Prior to his tenure as assistant principal at Trinity, he also served as their assistant athletic director and coached basketball at the junior and high school levels.
Mr. Head served three years as a middle school counselor at Mt. Solo Middle School in Longview, Washington, working with students and teachers in individual, small group, and classroom settings. While working collaboratively with administrators, teachers, and parents, he designed and coordinated a sixth grade orientation program and implemented a credit retrieval plan for struggling students. Prior to his tenure at Mt. Solo, he was a middle school classroom teacher at Portland Christian School in Oregon.
Mr. Head earned his Masters of Education degree from City University in Vancouver, Washington, in 2008, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Warner Pacific College in 2004.
