"Who and What is PTF" Coffee

Held on the first morning of school, parents are encouraged to attend to learn more about the PTF and the activities and events PTF sponsors throughout the year. The Chairperson will have sign-in sheets and information about each event. Bring your calendar!

PTF Kick-off

This is our first school-wide fellowship gathering. Come greet your children’s teacher, fellow classmates and their families. Enjoy great entertainment and a delicious dinner catered by The Varsity.

Boosterthon Fun Run

Boosterthon is our biggest and most successful fundraiser, and takes place early in the fall.  This year we raised over $35,000.  This concept in fundraising focuses on growing the children in character as well as physical activity, and is our primary fundraising activity. 

Mother/Son Night of Fun

In the Fall, Prince Avenue mothers and sons share a special night of fun, good food and entertainment for all ages!  For the past several years, this event has been at Washington Farms, and wandering through the corn maze has been a highlight of the evening.

Father/Daughter Banquet

This event is a special date night for daddies and daughters of all ages in the PRINCE family. You will enjoy good food and entertainment with a special focus on the relationship between a dad and his (no matter how old) little girls.  We rotate between a formal event one year, and a casual one the next.

Thing-A-Thon

This school-wide, fun-filled day is one of the most anticipated days of the year by PRINCE students, parents and teachers. Students play various games and activities. Live music and a family lunch conclude the day. Volunteer efforts range from set-up to first-aid to monitoring the tug-of-war.

Book Fair

The Book Fairs raise money for the library while encouraging students to read. Parents volunteer to help the children with book selection and purchasing. PTF also encourages parents to support this effort by purchasing books for their children.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day

Chairpersons: Kim Brannon, knbrannon@princeave.org and Bettyann Collinsworth, bcollingsworth@princeave.org

This special day lets students in K4-5th grade show grandparents and special friends a day-in-the-life of a student at PRINCE. Volunteers are needed to help greet our special guests and serve refreshments.

PRINCE opens its doors to the surrounding community to share its ministry and academic opportunities with prospective families. PTF volunteers serve as host/hostesses to the many visitors on the Prince Avenue campus and give tours of the school.  If you are a Prince Avenue parent, you are qualified to help out as a host or hostess for an open house.  Visitors want to hear from parents of Prince students!


Ongoing Events

PTF-Room Parent Liasion

This chair is a new position for the 2011-12 PTF Committee.  This person is the liasion betweeen PTF and the room parents, communicating events while encouraging attendance, awareness, and suppport of the PTF functions.  This chair also provides for the room parents in their roles in the classrooms. 

Faculty Appreciation

The PTF provides treats several times during the year, and a luncheon at the end of school for all faculty and staff to show our appreciation for all they do for our families.  Every faculty and staff member is given a special Christmas gift in addition to a Christmas bonus from the PTF.  The lower school and staff members receive a "Holiday Hall Pass," while the upper school faculty benefits from the "Christmas Cash Fund."

Dollars for Education

There are many ways for your shopping dollars to benefit our school. PTF coordinates the various opportunities provided by Publix, Kroger, and Box Tops for Education

Lunchroom Helpers

PTF provides assistance to the lunchroom workers by helping serve lunch during the lunch hours of 10:30-1pm. Parents are asked to volunteer for one monthly time slot. It is a great way to get to know the students and the lunchroom ladies.

Moms in Prayer

PRINCE moms gather Mondays at 8:15 to lift up praises and concerns of the school family in prayer. Come when you can.

Booster Club

President: Rhett Butler
The Wolverine Booster Club serves and supports all of PRINCE’s athletic programs. The Booster Club holds a golf tournament to raise funds each Fall. Memberships are available and provide discounted admission to all athletic events.

Lil Wolves Club

A Booster Club for the younger set! Lower school students will have the chance to join the club and bond with varsity sports men and women.

Gently Used Uniform Sales

A service to provide our parents with a low cost option to purchase uniforms. Uniforms can be donated or consigned. Volunteers get a benefit of “early” shopping for the best selection
