High School Planning & Guidance

Recognizing each student's college and professional aspirations differ, Prince Avenue offers three diploma classifications: College Prep with Distinction, College Prep and General.

Prince Avenue Christian School Diplomas
College Prep Diploma with Distinction
- At least 28 credits are required
- At least 3 courses (3 credits) must be any combination of the following: Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, or a third or fourth year of foreign language
- The credits required for a College Preparatory diploma are as follows:
- 4 credits of English
- 4 credits of Science (three of which must be lab sciences)
- 4 credits of Math (CP level or higher)- Students must be enrolled in Math all four years of high school.
- 4 credits of Bible
- 4 credits of Social Studies (must include World History, US History, Govt. /Ecn.)
- 1 credit of Health/P.E.
- 2 credits of the same Foreign Language*
- 4.5 elective credits (3 must be from Fine Arts, Academics, or Athletics)
- 0.5 credit for Speech
College Prep Diploma:
- At least 27 credits are required
- The credits required for a College Preparatory diploma are as follows:
- 4 credits of English

- 3.5 elective credits (2 will be from Fine Arts, Academics, or Athletics)

General Diploma:
- At least 24 credits are required
- The credits required for a general high school diploma are as follows:
- 4 credits of English
- 3 credits of Math
- 3 credits of Science
- 3 credits of Social Studies
- 1 credit of Health/P.E.
- 4 credits of Bible
- 5.5 elective credits (3 will be will be Fine Arts, Academic, or Athletic )
- 0.5 credit for Speech
Carnegie Units (credits) may be earned by:
- Passing classes at PACS
- College dual enrollment
- Transferring from another accredited school
- PACS approved directed studies
- Approved online courses
- Home school credits accepted by the PACS Administration
No "first impulse courses” may be taken for credit without prior permission from the administration (first impulse course = course taken at another institution which PACS offers on campus).
