Middle School Handbells

Beginning Handbells

Handbells is an opportunity for students to perform in a small ensemble setting.  Students will learn handbell ringing techniques and the fundamentals of music theory through a variety of music literature.  Performances include school chapels and school concerts, and may include community or church events.

Advanced Handbells

Advanced Bells for middle school students is designed for those who have either completed Beginning Bells or had several years playing an instrument and are able to read basic notes and rhythms. The class builds on Beginning Bells by ringing additional octaves and using more ringing techniques in the performance of more difficult repertoire. There will also be increased opportunities for performance in church and chapel settings.
