Summer Reading List

Prince Avenue Christian School has released the annual Summer Reading List.  Many of the books may be purchased through the Spring Book Fair by pre-ordering the selections. Download and complete the Pre-Order Form which can be downlaoded by clicking the link below.  Return the Pre-order list to Lower School teachers or the Media Center.  The Full List may also be downloaded by clicking the link below.

Lady Wolverine Tennis Finishes Season in State Tourney

The Lady Wolverine Varsity Tennis team completed its season yesterday after losing to reigning state champion Mount Pisgah Christian in the second round of the state tournament.

Empty Bowls Feed the Hungry

The National Art Honor Society is organizing a service project called Empty Bowls to raise awareness of hunger in the community. Students will sell handmade bowls, each filled with contents based on a "theme" (Menchies bowl, Starbucks bowl, etc.). All proceeds will go to Athens-Clarke County overflow shelter, A Bigger Vision.

The Wolverine Way - December

Julian Drive Returns to Campus for Pre-Game Concert

The popular Christian band Julian Drive will return to the Prince Avenue Christian School campus for a pre-game concert on Friday, October 7, beginning at 5:45 pm on the Wolverine Athletic Fields.  The event is sponsored by Barberitos.  The $7.00 admission charge includes the game fee.  Booster Club and 'Lil Wolves Club memberships will be valid for admission to the concert as well as the game.

Middle School Supply List for 2012-13 School Year

The Prince Avenue Christian Middle School supply list is ready for review--even as students are finishing the current school year!  "We like to give our parents and students a chance to be prepared," says Middle School Principal Jesse Owens.  "Releasing our list now lets parents shop for supplies all summer long."

Wolverine Athletes Sign Letters of Intent

Three more Wolverine athleties recently signed letters of intent to play sports at the college level beginning in the fall.  Jones Farriba plans to play baseball at East Georgia College, Taylor Hill will also play baseball, for Clearwater Christian College, and Kristi Phillips has signed to play golf at Oglethorpe University.  A ceremony for these students was held last week during Chapel services.

Wolverine Voices to be Heard in Carnegie Hall

Prince Avenue Christian School fine arts students will join a 300 voice choir performing in Carnegie Hall next week at the Christian School Chorale.  This is the third time the school has participated in the event.

The Christian School Chorale is composed of students representing twelve schools from across the country. Under the direction of Fine Arts Director LaMurl Morris, Prince Avenue's high school chorus completed the application and audition process and has been rehearsing for months for the performance.
