Coaches Serve at Football Clinic

Coach Jeff Heron's football coaching staff spent several hours working with young kids at the Billy Henderson's Football Clinics held annually for Athens area youth. The clinic provided a great opportunity for the Wolverine coaches to impact the lives of young players in the community.

Prince Avenue staff coaches Jeff Herron, Chance Jones, and Doug Jackson were joined at the clinic by lay coaches Major Herron, Clay Harris, Brian Wommack, Greg Stephens, Jerry Haas and Zach Slattery.

State Title in Girls Shot Put and Discus; Fourth in High Jump

Prince Avenue Christian School junior Anna Machovec won the Class A-Private State Championship in both the Shot Put and Discus at the state track and field meet on Wednesday.  This is the first state track and field titles for the Wolverines.

Sophomore Sydney Henderson placed fourth in the high jump, fifth in the 200 meters run, and sixth in the 100 meters.

With the points scored by these girls, the team placed in the top ten in the state meet.

Girls Basketball Position Camp Registration

Girls interented in attending the Prince Avenue Christian School Basketball Position Camp can register and pay online by clicking on the link below.  The camp is for rising 6th - 8th grade girls, and will be held in the Wolverine Gymnasium May 30 - June 1, 2013 from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.  Cost is $110.

Jeff Herron Named New Football Coach

Jeff Herron, one of Georgia’s most successful high school coaches, has been named Head Football Coach at Prince Avenue Christian School, says Wolverine Athletic Director Richard Ricketts.

Parrish to Play Football for Mars Hill College

Tyler Parrish, the 2012 Region 8A Player of the Year, has signed to play football at Mars Hill College in North Carolina.  

The son of Geoffrey and Monica Parrish, Tyler was also named to the Georgia Class A team the past two years, and was the Region Defensive Player of the Year in 2011.

Congratulations Wolverines! We are so excited about our Wolverines' 32-22 victory over Landmark Christian last night! With this win, our Prince football team will play for the state championship in the Georgia Dome at 2:30 pm on Friday, December 14. The date and time has been set by the Georgia High School Association.

Pruett Signs to Play Softball at Lee University

Prince Avenue Christian School senior Annabeth Pruett has signed a letter of intent to play softball at Lee University in Cleveland Tennessee. A signing ceremony was held Monday at the school.

As a four-year starter for the Prince Avenue Wolverines, Annabeth played outfield and first base, she was a member of three region championship teams and also placed 2nd in the state GHSA tournament this year and 3rd in 2010.

Lady Wolverine Tennis Finishes Season in State Tourney

The Lady Wolverine Varsity Tennis team completed its season yesterday after losing to reigning state champion Mount Pisgah Christian in the second round of the state tournament.
