Lady Wolverines Finish Third at State Tournament

Elite Eight State Softball Tournament Update


Game 5:  Providence Christian defeated Prince Avene 6-0 in game 5 of the state tournament.  The Lady Wolverines finished their impressive season third in the state, in their fourth year of varsity play.  

Game 4: Victory for the Lady Wolverines, 8-3. They will play Providence Christian at 9:00 am Saturday morning. 

State Champion Softball Coach Named Wolverine Assistant

Joining the Wolverine Softball staff as assistant coach is 2009 Southern-Crescent Coach of the Year Lacy McClendon.  McClendon, who will assist Wolverine Head Coach Theresa Bettis, was head varsity softball coach last year at state Class A champion Eagles Landing Christian Academy in McDonough, Georgia.  From 2004-2008 she served as Head Coach for Henry County Middle School, winning the MMSAL championship in 2004.
