At Prince Avenue Christian School, our high school students have an opportunity to influence the lives of younger students while serving as mentors.

The Barnabas Program is an elective course for juniors and seniors who mentor and tutor elementary students. The class named for the Biblical Barnabas, who was the follower of Christ, and known for faithfulness and encouragement.

The purpose of Barnabas is to provide a platform for older students to learn about service by helping, encouraging and praying for younger students. The Barnabas program will educate and inform the Prince Avenue community about learning differences and the variety of ways students learn.

Barnabas helps to enhance and develop the community between the older and younger students at Prince Avenue which will increase unity in the body of Christ at the school. This course also provides a way for God to call young people to an area of service they may have never considered.
